Khao Pad (ข้าวผัด) - Thai Fried Rice

A popular Thai fried rice with vegetables and your choice of protein.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup diced carrots and peas
  • 100 g chicken pork, or shrimp
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Green onions chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a wok, add garlic, and cook until fragrant.
  • Add protein and cook until done. Push to the side and scramble the egg.
  • Add cooked rice, vegetables, and soy sauce, stirring well. Garnish with green onions.

Notes

Serve hot with a wedge of lime.
